I'm sure the T-5 would fit, my 46 has the T-5 back of a six. Since you will have to modify the motor mounts, crossmember etc. to make the V8 work
the trans should be the easy part.

can't speak to the 302 since i don't know much about ford v-8's, but i'm putting a t-5 behind a 350 in a 39/42/46 (it's a mixed mongrel of a truck).

from what i've learned about the swap so far, the combination of parts you should be looking for will be a "world class" T-5 (it's a later version of the T-5 that has better bearings and other internals) out of a v-8 car like a camaro, and a junk s-10 transmission that has the shifter further forward on the tailshaft (otherwise, it lands in the seat). if you're running a mechanical speedometer, you'll have to find an s-10 trans with a mechanical speedo, and move the gear up on the shaft coming out of the camaro box.

it's a relatively straightforward deal to swap the tailshaft housings. I'm going to run mine with a hydraulic clutch actuated by a wilwood pedal, master, and slave cylinder.

Chevy made a 302 in the late 60s. they were powerfull, high rpm beasts. it was made so camaros could race in SCCA's Trans-Am Series, which had a limit of a maximum of 305 cubic inches.

it had the 327's bore of 4.0" and 283's stroke of 3.0"

Yenko made these camaros that would run 10,000rpms..Saw one in ElPaso in 1970..Could not believe the sound of that motor..Had a 396 69 Chevelle, and did not even think about a race
