what size is the fitting that screws into the back of the oild gauge on a 52 gmc. Having a hard time matching it up at auto parts stores.

The female port on the back of my 53 (chevy) guage, the brass fitting held in with 2 screws is 5/16-24. I suggest find a bolt that size and see if GMC and Chevy are the same. Have fun.

It's a standard 1/4" gas flare fitting.
