Anybody know of source(s) for dropped axles for 58 3100
Do they create clearance problems and or other problems
with disc brake conversions etc.

There is a local shop here that does it. I am told they heat your axle to 1700 degrees and pull and bend both sides. Maybe you can find a shop like that where you live. I would check some truck shops, low rider shops, stuff like that.

hey I hope this info can help you....I went over to oakland and purchased a 4inch drop axle from more drop axle. here is the info and he has axles in stock.

Mor-Drop Axle
600- 29th ave
Oakland california
(510)261-1888

It's roughly $100 an inch BUt don't quote me.
He has been doing this work for the last 25-30 yrs maybe longer.
