I've adjusted the striker plate as far out as it will go but it still takes a huge slam to get them to catch. I guess they will settle down over time but anything I can try?

In the mean time, I wonder if shimming the door hinges a little might help to even things up a bit with the striker? -David | | | | | Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 328 Member | | Member Joined: Nov 2004 Posts: 328 | I did the same thing a couple of months back.
I noticed a huge difference, but it takes a while. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 48 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 48 | Looks like I'll have to wait it out Thanks | | |
