I have a casting number from an inline 6 that a man gave to me over the phone. He has no idea what it came out of or size, year, etc. The number is 711781J55. He says this was on the right hand side of block. Can any of you decode it?

Thanks,
Mike

That looks more like a serial number than a casting number. Can you get any pictures?

No pics. I'll call him back and see if he can find any other numbers.

Mike
