It goes to nothing now, but I think that was the Throttle knob (maybe Choke, but I'll say Throttle)? Now I'll have to go look...... Anybody else know off hand?

1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.

Most cars equipped with o/d had some sort of knob in that general area, like Hudson, Nash, and Studebaker.

Guess that means Airconditioning? Sorry I can't get in right now as it is covered with snow and Christmas lights. Any 54/55.1 guys have the same push/pull cable that says AIR?

On earlier years the knob/cable open/shut the defrost diverter (in 54/55 the defrost diverter is a knob/lever right on the heater and it is moved by hand).
