I'm looking at a project truck and the one in the cab is pretty well worn and I can't make all of the numbers out.

You may be able to get some info off of the tag by taking a pencil and rubbing it accross the tag, then wipe it off. This method fills the indentations and makes it more legible to read. Good luck.......g | | | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 476 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 476 | Another trick is to try using a flashlight or shoplight and shine it on the plate from different angles. This will often help you read it by casting shadows into the indentations.
