After having the truck torn down, rebuilt motor, rebuilt trans, new gas tank, carb, and rewired I have been tooling around quite happily. I dropped the truck off at the guy who built my transmission as I had a rear main leak. He fixed it, hooked up my kickdown linkeage, and hooked up a speedometer reducer for me. I did all the work my self with help from the bolt and friends locally except for rebuilding the transmission.

Thanks to everyone. What a great feeling! No more just tooling around the neighborhood I'm road worthy and just in time for the first car show of the season. All I have to do is hook up the gas gauge, get vaccum to the wipers, and find a good working horn, and I could even pass inspection.

Thank you to all.

Must be a great feeling. Congrats. I hope to be there someday with my GMC.

I can't stop! It's great. I have a little idle adjustment to do but that's it. I got the gas gauge hooked up and then my headlights were blowing fuses. The light feed on the gauge was the problem. Temporary setbacks for sure.

Get it done guys and gals!

Tim

Put relays on your headlight wires ... your headlights will be brighter and you will never blow another fuse:
See what I did HERE

And while you're at it ... put a new pair of HALOGEN headlamps in and REALLY light your road up!!!
Check This Out
