I seem to recall problems with getting the front wheel cylinders off. Could someone provide me with technical tips on how to go about this job?? Thanks in advance!!

Remove the 2 bolts holding the cyl. to the backing plate. Unscrew the flare nut. If it is froze to the tube dont twist the tube but pull the cyl. out far enough to turn it around & screw it off. Heat the nut to a soft glow & than turn the nut. It is best to put a kit in the master cyl. & bench bleed it before putting it back on.If you need more help post a reply. I will take a shot at the job as soon as the showers let up. I recently replaced the master cylinder so a good bleeding should do the job after I get the cylinders and shoes replaced. I am using softer brake linings to increase my stopping power. Since I am still without power brakes every little bit helps.

That is what makes it real hard to bleed. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | |
