Can anyone tell me any info on the truck I just bought? Its a 59 fleetside that has a Vin number that starts with V3A59T and it has a Big back glass. The paint code is 732J any idea's what the original color is. Also the truck didn't have the motor or tranny but the cab is set up for a automatic transmission. It only has rust in one cab corner so it seems like a good solid truck. Is this a standard or rarer 59?

the V means it had a 283 in it [no V= standard 235], 3=series [½T], A= atlanta I think, 1959 of course, not sure on the T, and the following numbers are the serial production sequence at that plant

the V8 is an option, as is the fleetside and the big window, and the hydramatic, so the overall combo is on the rare side - a real high serial number could mean you got onea the last TF trucks produced, so call it so rare as to command an outrageous resale price! grin congrats on the purchase, and remember we all like pictures!! grin like seein all these TF trucks joinin the garage crew
edit- oh the T will be for the automatic

Bill
