My wife and I drove the old '63 to Church last Sunday and after Church we went to town. A man pulls up beside me at a stoplight and asks if I want a chrome grill for my truck and I said oh yes! He said his Father has a brand new one for a '63 stored in his barn for the last 35 years. I being the skeptic that I am waited until today to call the old gentlemen and go over to his house. He said go out in the barn and look for a GM box and bring it up to the house. I was shocked when I found it and sure enough it was a brand new N.O.S '63 polished aluminum grill still in the original General Motors box. It had an old shipping label from Evansville, Indiana and the price was C.O.D $54.45. I bought it for $100 and couldn't get to my wallett fast enough. Just goes to show that parts are still out there, you just gotta be in the right place at the right time. It'll be going on my '63 shortly, but if I ever sell the truck I'll definitely swap it back out for the steel painted one. The NOS grill is in MINT condition, not a scratch. I'm almost afraid to put it on.
