Nope, not runaway auction, notice reserve not met yet. It will go higher.

As far as I'm concerned, camaros are a waste of money anyway...

I don't have the money now but a price like that hurts. That car was worth $10K more than the asking price and it went in hours. I still lie awake at night thinking about that one. I now wish I hadn't even spotted it.

The Ebayer says "someone hacked my account and is trying to defraud people out of $4000.00" I wonder if he could be talking about the auction I posted earlier...??? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 203 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 203 | Keep in mind those are Canadian Dollars ... lol. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 687 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 687 | Originally posted by Fatfenders: Keep in mind those are Canadian Dollars ... lol.Not according to the auction description. It clearly says US$14,550.00 (unless they got it wrong...which is entirely possible). -ftyler | | | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 203 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 203 | I was joking, joking ... hence the "lol" | | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 543 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 543 | When I first saw the auction listing, I thought it was for an ENTIRE CAR!!! Silly me! A &@$!##$*! intake and carb set-up for $14.5K!!!??? darn, and I thought HEMI prices were insane! :o

The other 2 went for over $18K. I guess they were sent in the trunk of that model camaro to the dealership and were installed if the car was to be used as a dragster. Who knows how many others are still floating around out there. It's a VERY rare item from what I've been told. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,745 Member | | Member Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,745 | If that was true there should be many floating around. They were a special order item. I am not sure you could order one with it, but you would probably have it dealer installed. It was not a standard option.

Like it was said earlier, the only way it'll ever hope to retain that "value" is if it's never installed! Once on the car, it's just a $5K intake!...Just. The world is insane.

Jeez. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 543 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 543 | Un-freakin-believable!!! Our world is insane! Went over the reserve and still didn't go??!! What is up with that nonsense? If someone is willing to part with that kind of money willingly and the seller is apparently holding out (or maybe he doesn't really have it to start!), that's the definition of "nuts"!!!
