I have what I think is a 1950 1/2 ton. It had a white speedo needle. When I went to get a new one, they handed me a red transparent needle. I had them get me the white one from their 51-54 range because it matched the other needles I have. Were my guages replaced at some time or is red the wrong color? You may have a end of year 50 in which they used some 51 parts. Or someone may have changed the speedo or needle at some point.

Chevs of the 40s show one needle for '47-'50 Chevy (1567794 47^50: same needle for '52/'53 GMC); and, another needle for '51-'53 (1567795 51-53). Jim Carter list the same years/colors as Chevy Duty. Chevs of the 40s is usually a good authority. Maybe someone with 1950 speedometer will respond. Tim | | |
