A guy down the road has four trucks FS, NO I'M NOT selling these, I'm just lamenting at the current lack of cash to get them!...

1) 1946 Chevy 1-1/2 ton, complete but rough, great parts truck for...

2) 1946 GMC 1/2-ton. Original owner until 1988, current owner bought from the original owner's estate. Complete, titled, needs complete resto.

3) 1955 first series 1/2-ton, complete except for seat, bed floor gone, needs cab corners, very straight, titled.

4) 1955 3600 1st series parts truck.

I don't want to get yelled at, so I'm not mentioning price or exact location. It's just when these opportunities arise, there just ain't the cash laying about to take full advantage of the deal. That '55 1/2-ton would make a fine rig!!! So would the Jimmy. frown

Patrick,
Take out a small personal loan or promisary note, buy the trucks, pick the one or two that you care the least about and resell them for some or more of the cost. Worth a shot,
Scott

I've thought about getting them anyway, keeping either the Jimmy or the '55 and putting the others on the 'bay. Just that I've got about three things going right this very second that make this such a dilemma.

That, and I need to complete the resto on the '37 Terraplane for a National event in July...

Crap.

It's a sickness I tell ya. I've had the same feelings, I'm sure many have. I have a buddy with a lot of trucks in his yard. He can't pass up a $800 or $1000 basket case because he sees the potiential in them or needs a couple of parts for some future project. On the other hand he never has $800 or $1000 to buy the parts he needs for his current projects. So they are sitting.

Microbe, only nine. Currently. And they all run, except the '71 Dodge, which is waiting for me to install the 440!

Right now, I'm looking to get rid of the '52 Hudson to finance the finishing of the '37 Terraplane, which only needs the interior finished and glass installed to complete the '37. We've yet to start on the son's '46 Chev pickup, and I'm awaiting a couple of things to ready the Dodge truck for it's brand new '69 440 HP engine (my hot rod truck!). The Coronet is waiting for me to put the new Edlebrock intake on it and the new Legendary front seat covers. The Bimmer rag needs a new back window, and the Cummins needs a valve adjustment and attention to a couple of things I keep putting off.

That's why those trucks are still sitting in the other guys' yard and not in my yard. frown Plus, I need to find a decent 20-25 hp tractor, to boot.
