Today i am gettin a short Fleetside bed to replace my short stepside bed for my 64 truck! I am very excited to swap beds. I like the fleet look alot. Though i still like the looks of the stepside. I just always wanted a fleet instead. This bed will need alot of work cause it has some big dents and dings but i am gettin a great deal on it. I will not let this pass me by. Plus it is only 15 or 20 min from were i live! smile

i will take a pic and send you an e-mail of it. I havent put it on my truck yet. It is also pretty rough. We are gonna put wood in it before we put the bed on my truck. We have never done this before. But my dad says "nothing to it" smile .TOday we were taking the big dents out. We are tryin to straighten it as much as we can. I just want it to look decent. I'm not tryin to have a show truck. JUst a decent daily driver.

got the wood out today of the bed. The previous owner of the bed put a big sheet of metal to cover the bed over the wood..oh my lord he welded it pretty darn good! Took us a couple of hours to get it off. Was worth it though. Hopefully tomorrow i will sand the metal strip down and paint them black. I dont think i'll get them crome. My dad and i are not gonna get the original oak wood. Just some decent wood that aint to much. On a low budget. I want this truck lookin good though. Will probably take me all my life to fix it to wat it want. Probably not even then. smile all good though:) cya yall laters

Once i get the wood in my truck and put the bed on the frame i will send you pictures of the progress arcticat. I will miss my stepside bed on my 64 though frown .. But if I have to chose which bed i like better. And i know the fleetside is wat i want for my truck.
