I have looked through all the parts stores around and can't find a Haynes or Chiltons manual for a 235. I need one so that I have the specs and instructions for any repairs or maintence I may need to do. If you know where or who to get one from Please let me know. Thanx

Have you tried thrift stores? I have found many Chilton's and Haynes manuals in the Goodwill stores around here.

http://chevy.tocmp.com has some online vendors listed that may be of help.

Good Luck.

58apache,

Is there a reason you prefer a Haynes or Chilton manual to a Chevrolet Truck shop manual? You can find reprinted shop manuals from most vintage parts vendors and they are commonly listed on eBay. I cannot remember having seen a Haynes or Chilton truck manual (1955-1959) on eBay.

Click "Online Catalog" at the top of this page. Part number SM55G is a 55-59 shop manual ($27.50). Used manuals on eBay are usually cheaperr.

Good luck,
Tim

What happened to my reply ?

Oh well :

Go to the new auto swap at the Jack Murphy Stadium and buy an old Motor's Manual , make sure it's for '55 and newer , there's so much good info jammed in there you'll dance . they're cheap too , Max. of $35.00 for a perfect one .

Also Glenn's are good but hard to find .

Chilton's suck ~ they're crap plain & simple .

I didn't know Haynes ("HBOL") even made them to cover 235's .

Thank You Fella's
Got a new shop manual for the truck today from Grumpy's. Now I feel a lot better about starting on the project. The info was great and quick. Thanx
