Dear Friends on The Stovebolt Pages, Im stuck on a question concerning the 1937 Chevrolet Truck and 1937 Chevrolet Car Grill.

Are they the same size? Will a car grill fit a truck? Also I have the trim (around)the 37 grill only on the drivers side but not on the passenger side and lower part.

Can that be made from some other moulding since I cant seem to find it on ebay or any of the part store or dealers.

I sure would be thankful for your help

Hello, Classic -
No, they are not the same. They look the same, but they are different in size and until you actually have one of each side by side, you don't believe they are different, but they are.
There is at least one thing the same and that is the grill emblem. Both of them are the same. I'm not sure about the crank hole cover.
I have seen street rodders use a flat back rounded front stick on chrome looking modern day body trim and use it to outline the sides and bottom of the grill. There is a size that is just about the same width as the stock stainless trim that will even tuck up under each side of the grill "topper" piece. It looks almost original and unless they know it, you'll fool most anyone. You can run it down each side and across the bottom by doing a 45 degree miter cut at each side of the bottom. You can buy it at good auto paint supply stores and auto upholstery stores.

Good luck!!
