| | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 305 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 305 | when i got my 42 all the wireing is shot the man said it ran so before i pull it apart and off the frame i would like to start it what needs to be hooked up to get it to start. i have 3 boat 12v batterys on the shelf and do not want to buy a 6v for this task .ideas??????????? all i have in side right now is the frame motor tranny and rear .

Disconnect wire on coil going to ignition switch & hook awire from resister to coil. Run good booster cables to starter & ground. Run a fuel line from pump inlet to fresh can of gas. Connect a wire from resistor to positive cable & start engine.
