on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 12 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 12 | I am swapping cabs on my 1955 second series. What is the easiest way to disconnect the steering column, so I can remove the old cab and install the new one? Also does anyone have any advice on installing a brake master cylinder on the firewall? Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. You have to be pretty tall to do this or have a tall lift. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 75 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 75 | Industrial chassis makes a kit for converting to firewall mount pedals. Kit is very well done and not cheap. I used one for my 53 and it fits perfectly. You can also find hanging pedals from junk yard donor and modify them to fit. I didn't want to screw around with mix/match/cut/fab so I just bought the kit...........
