Hi guys, looking to create a crew cab out of my 49 GMC. I have bought another cab and will try to graft the 2 together. Anybody have any thoughts about this.

I saw one where they used front doors on the rear too and that did't look very good.

I have seen better extended cabs. I like the original bed not the later models......my two cents

Like that turquoise one on e-bay-unlike many "stretch cab" AD's I've seen, it looks like this guy got the roof "crown" done up right. Many only curve from side to side, while front to rear there's a big, flat "stretch mark." :p

That being said, I agree wholeheartedly with your comments on the choice of box-that looks unfinished, the rear steps don't line up with the runningboards, wheel openings don't match, etc. It needs bumpers, too, IMHO. Not that MHO is worth much, if anything!
