It would be greatly appreciated if wildy off topic posts like this are confined to the "Hey Joker" thread. We're trying to keep the forums for truck posts, off topic and jokes are ok, but keep em in one place,ok? Thanks for your help in keeping Stovebolt a place for trucks, Tony | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 687 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 687 | No problem. Tony, you can either lock this one or I can delete both this and the "IE" thread. Neither is truck related. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 1,586 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 1,586 | No need to delete of lock this post, just post this sort of thing in one thread. There seems to be no way of balancing the posts here, there's always a few who get carried away thus ruining it for the rest of us.I don't want the forums to be so pure that they are boring,so use your judgement. If i don't like it,I'll say so.If I say nothing ,it means either it's ok or I don't care or I didn't see it. I don't read every post,be creative, see what you can get by me | | | | | Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 Bolter | | Bolter Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4,066 | Do you know what "W" stands for????? Anyway, the story was about some idiot who attempted to rob a local Bank of America that had not yet opened for business. Let me post the text of the article and be done with it.
"Perhaps rule number one in the bank robber's handbook should be, "Make sure the bank has money."
Doing so could have saved a Marietta man a lot of trouble.
According to Kennesaw police, 38-year-old Michael Donald Marshall walked into the Bank of America at 2781 Cobb Parkway on Tuesday, announced that he had a gun and demanded $500.
Only problem was, the bank is in the final stages of construction.
"The tellers told the offender that the bank was not open for business and there is no money," said Kennesaw police spokesman Scott Luther.
Luther said arriving officers even noticed construction workers carrying their tools in and out of the bank.
Marshall stepped from behind a column outside the bank and told officers he was trying to rob the bank.
Luther said it "should have been obvious" to the suspect that the bank was still under construction.
Marshall was charged with armed robbery, and during the investigation, detectives discovered an outstanding Cobb County warrant for violating probation on a shoplifting charge. He was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where he remained this morning." | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,745 Member | | Member Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 1,745 | I had something similar happen to me last May when I was in Europe. I needed a little more cash and spotted a local bank. They had cash machines and a counter and a long line. So, I stood in the line for like 15 minutes getting real impatient. Then it was my turn. "Yes, I would like to change some dollars into Euros please". "Sorry sir, this isn't a "money bank" "Money bank?" I muttered? "Yes, we have no money here unless you have a cash card" I walked out and continued my search for a "money bank".

I stated that I sort of had that in mind,,the others just laughed, she stated that I was so nice by being so quite like I was suspose to wear cow-bells..
