The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk 59 Chevy hood

I just picked up a 59 Chevy and was curious if they had more than one hood design. As the one that comes with the truck seems flat. I told him it wasn't the correct hood, but I may be mistaken. Could someone shed some light on this.

Mine has the recessed section in the middle. But im not to sure if there is one style, or if it is the correct one.

if it doesn't have dual headlites, it's not 59 - 58 and 59 hoods look like this and this is a 57 hood
55 and 56 hoods are like 57 but no ridges

Thanks for the response. I had no doubt the truck is a 59, it was just the hood that has me going. The hood wasn't on the truck but laying in the bed. My first thought it was a 55 hood, but thats what I get for not paying attention. Either way I'm going to keep the truck. And thanks again for your input.
