Hey guys, I just found another truck that I cannot turn down. Its a Chevy 1971/1972 K20, automatic, 327/350. My Uncle will sell it to me for $400! Now what I want to do is sell my 1979 K20. It has a manual transmission, and a 3/4ton 4x4, but will have no motor. Here is the link to it below (1979 Chevy K20 - My Project): Webshots Album - (1979 Chevy K20 - My Project)

What I would like to know is how much I should try selling it for. First of all, I dont know if the drivtrain is any good. It comes with a bed full of misc parts, and an extra 3/4 rear axle. Second of all I need to get atleast $400 for it. And depending on if the front + rear bumper arent welding on, and if they will fit that 71/72 then they will not be for sale.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know where you live in OR but I would say $500 depending on what shape the rest of the drivetrain is.

Find out what the value of scap iron is, weigh your truck, subtract hauling fees and that would be your minimum price.

Max price is whatever you can convince someone to pay.

Based on your description, I would tend toward the first price. :p

Motion Guru said it first.......the weight for scrap is the "actual" value, and what ever you can get is the "wanted" value. Chevs of those years are dime a dozen, parts easy to come by. The trans and x-fer case may be a plus, sell together. Rearend maybe, but cab parts, Naaaah! Just gotta find that right person in need at time.

i got $500 for a 77 C20 camper special. It was a 2wd, 454 with a blown head gasket, junkyard TH400. It did have decent tires and the new style wheels. It was rust free and real solid tho...

The advantage you have is that it is 4WD, so if the drivetrain parts are in good condition you should be able to get $500. People here seem to attach some kind of premium to anything with 4wd.
