According to his catalog The spring fits all Chevy trucks from 1929 to 1959. My problem is the original was missing so there was no previous instruction to follow. Any one know how this spring is installed? Pictures would be a great help! | | |

The long end with the bend on the end goes against the release handle and the short end goes in the hole on the big lever. I am sorry I cant remember the exact names for the parts, its late and my brain has shut down for the night. I hope you can get a idea on how its installed,dont have a digital camera yet so I cant send pics. Jeff | | |

I think you might have to remove the bolt from the rod to install the spring,it will let the release lever come down enough to install it. | | |

If you dont have the rod attached yet it will be loose,it keeps tension on the spring. Jeff | | |
