Hi Bolters. When I bought my 48, there were a bunch of parts in the bed and cab that came with the truck. Some were to replace damaged parts on the truck and others were just extra. Somewhere in the past, one of the PO's had cut the back of the latch pan and the lower splash pan, I guess to move the radiator forward. There was an extra latch pan in the bed that I assumed was for that truck. When I went to install the pan, I found that it was not tall enough to reach the top of the radiator housing. I took a good one of my parts truck, but I am curious what the one that came in the bed of the truck is for. It looks just like the 47 - 53 latch pans but does not rise as high to cover the radiator housing. Could it be from a 55-2nd or possibly the task force or even a car. Wish I could post pics. Can anybody identify the pan from my description. I have looked in the gallery, but you guys do not have very good pics of your pans.
Ralph

It may be for a GMC, they use a differant radiator setup.
