I have a 51 5-window chevy 1/2 ton, I want to put a ford 9" inplace under the existing springs. Is there a kit available for mounting the spriungs to the new axle housing including spring perches. Also I may be interested in going to a monoleaf with the same ford 9"

If you want to do a good job for little bucks,Buy two spring perches or saddles from any speed shop, Jegs or Summit online or A Mopar dealer can get them for from the Mopar performance catalog ,about 15 bucks.Your local spring shop can fix you up with U-bolts for another25- 35 bucks.S10 lower plate works out well, just enlongate the U bolt holes slightly, and it even has a shock mount.
Don't forget to mock up the rear axle and fenders, moving the axle back an inch or so gets the tire centered in the fender opening.Just drill a new center bolt hole in the spring perch.

You also have to be sure your driveline geometry is correct. The pinion shaft must be parallel to the transmission shaft within a few degrees. Read the article at http://www.classictruckshop.com/driveline.asp

Tuftruck,
Take a look at MacGyvers website, they have a kit or parts for the conversion you want to do. They are in Alberta, so Canadian $$ and no customs or shipping hassles.

I bought my suspension stuff from them. Good people to deal with.
