Does any one have any experience with Chrome Bumpers from Chevy Duty? How would you rate their quality, etc.? I am getting ready to order both front and rear chrome bumpers for a '54 pick-up truck.

I have them on my truck and they're ok. If money was no object then I would get a set of clean used ones and get them rechromed. A nice rechrome job is a higher quality than the new ones I got from Chevy Duty. Cecil..........

Mine bubbled and peeled after a couple of years. I'd go for stainless steel.

I was planning on getting a set from CD for my truck, then I saw LMC has Triple Nickel Plated one's with a 5 year gurantee for not much more and I was gonna go that route.
Then I found a guy in my club selling a set of one's he had recromed cheap and the front's off a 1 ton so it's thicker.
If I were buying new I'd go with the one's from LMC with a gurantee.

Stainless is the way to go.Have them on mine for 5 years and they look great. The cost is the same as chrome. They don't crack or pill + use stainless bolts.Chevyduty has them for 249 ea + the 10% discount will help .Offer ends end of the month on 10% off

My front is still great chrome, but the rear was screwed up because the PO ran the exhaust into the back of the bumper, and burnt off the chrome...I took a grinder and took it down to bare steel, primed with some good stuff, and shot it with chrome/aluminum paint..added stainless bolts, and it looks like stainless..One of these days, I might buy a new chrome one, but right now, gotta put money in the mechanical stuff
