I have the possiblity of buying a nice seat out of a 1949 AD 3100 that has been redone. I have a 1951 5 window 3100 that it will go into. Will that seat fit my 51? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | Purney,
Most likely the 1949 seat will fit fine in the 1951 cab. But, you will probably ahve to use the whole seat assembly - the frame/base and both cushions. In 1950, the width of the seat was increased (but the cab width stayed the same). I assume that the whole seat assembly (base/frame and cushions) became wider in 1950.
