You can put the brackets and the devices anywhere you want to. No need to stay with the "stock" configuration (which many times won't work anyway.)
If you look at the various vendors, you'll find brackets that will work, but you can also just grab some from a junk yard and put them on. Just make sure the belts line up and there's room to work around things. | | |
