Just screwing them to the head liner seems kind of weak. Do I need to pull the headliner to find the holes in the roof? Will I find holes in the roof?
I don’t want to be drilling holes in things I don’t have to. My goal is to enjoy the truck for as long as I can, then If they don’t burry me in it, it can go to another stovebolter to drive and enjoy. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 1,517 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 1,517 | They dont just screw to the headliner,theres pre-drilled holes in the cab for them. take an ice pick or awl and probe around till you find one,from there,insert your visor bracket and the other two will be right there. Punch the cardboard headliner first to make sure.If you look at the bracket,the holes are in kind of a "Y" shape. The "flat" part goes to the front of the truck. Hope this makes sense.

After seeing the shocking prices for them in the catalogs seems like it might be a better alternative. With the shipping it taint much of a stretch to say you’re gonna drop about a hundred bucks.
Since they are standard equipment on all vehicles sold in the last 40 years I would think that you could find a set that would fit the AD.
Anyone been through this exercise???

Theres a difference in the driv. and pass. brackets.
Also,,'47-'53 were all the same. '54 brackets are all by themselves. The flip down cardboard "visor" is all the same'47-'54
