Would anyone happen to have a picture of their heater outlet of their 61-66?
I was wanting to see if my truck is missing a piece of the heater outlet. Is their supposed to be a two way channel where the defroster shutter is under the dash?
Mine comes out in one direction only. I was hoping their might be a piece missing that directs the floor heat into two directions (driver and passenger) I have a rectangle opening that looks like its been tampered with.

There are two different heaters and both share a similar inside duct that simply diverts the flow to defrost or floor.

The air flow heater (delux) has a little better duct for the floor due to a baffle inside the duct that directs more of the flow to the passengers side. The airflow heater has the heater core in the engine bay and has four dash knobs.

The recirculating heater does not have this baffle in the duct and directs the airflow to the drivers side of the cab.The recirculating heater has the core inside the cab and has two dash knobs.

The baffle is simply a piece of metal that protruds about halfway up from the bottom of the duct and has no cable connected to it.The moveable baffle with a cable is for the defrost and will direct the air into the defrost duct in proportion to the setting of the dash knob.

I will try to post a couple of pictures in my web space for you to see.

Hope this helps,Hobert
