Among other items that slowed me down, the ventilator (wind wing) glass came loose in the frame while removing the wind wing. I slid it back into place after I got everything out, but while it feels pretty solid, I definitely want to reinstall it in the channel properly. What is the material that you apply to the glass before placing it in a clean channel? Any ideas on where to get it. I'm going to check a local glass store/installer tomorrow, but suggestions on installing the glass back in the frame and what materials I will need will be appreciated. On a side note, once I get the driver's side door done I should know what not to do when I tackle the passengers side door.

Most of the Advance-Design parts vendors sell glass setting tape. Your year might not use this.
There are different thicknesses of glass setting tape. When I did the side glass in my 55 2nd I got the tape from a local automotive glass company. They were happy to help. The older auto glass companies have the tape sitting around and don't use it too much anymore, so they are happy to help. And it comes in various thickness' so take the glass and frame with you.
