I'm inclined to think they're for a PTO option on heavier trucks,but then again,why so far from the driver?
Almost every pic I see has these plugs ( ebay and the likes)
Some has got to know,the curiousity is just driving me crazy

In my case I will add the cigg. lighter to the dash (I don't smoke, but I wanted the optional lighter) Thats just one example. I'll look in my options add on booklet and see what else could be added.
