Trying to figure out how the emer brake locking system works in a floor pedal type on a '48. Was all dissambled when I got truck, not really sure what I'm supposed to have.I bought a shop manual for ChevyDuty but it didn't have any pictures of the assy. Does anybody have any illustrations they'd be willing to share with me ?

Thanks,

Tom

what part of the assy do you need pictures of? From foot pedal to rear cables? The shop manual has a good picture of the pedal assembly with the rod attached. The rod goes back to a cross shaft in the frame that has a bellcrank that attaches to cables and then to the rear brake backing plates. I can take pictures of the cross shaft / back brake connections if you want and post as I have a frame with no cab on it right now in my garage.

And I can take pictures of the inside of the cab, if you like.

The factory assembly manual has pretty good diagrams of the pedal assembly if you can get a copy for your year. Most vendors sell those.

I'm trying to figure out what locks the pedal down when the emer brake is applied.Everything else is working. There is another hole in the floor where it looks like another rod might go through and lock something.A picture from inside the cab and under the front of the cab would probably do it.
Thanks everybody!

Tom
