I just purchased a 54 1/2 ton that I will probably end up parting out and it has one of these seats in it. The drivers side is like a bucket seat and the passenger side is wider, it looks like a 60/40 bench. Are these rare? Did they come on other years, I might want to use it in another truck that I have. Thanks for your help, Paul

Yes indeed, those Unison seats are "Very Rare". Only came in '54/'55 1st series Chevrolet trucks. I have two of them left. Recently sold one, for $800. I have one that has been re-upolstered, that I plan to put in my '53 Chevy COE. I might put the unrestored Unison seat(that is presently, in my COE) in my '51 Chevy pickup, if I don't sell it first.

Thanks for the info Spanky.I will probably sell the seat, I'm not that attached to it. I could probably use the money for my other projects. It needs re-upholstery but all the pieces are there. Do you think e-bay is a good place to sell it? What do you think it's worth considering it needs re-covered? Paul

Jaime, I also gave you a smoking deal on the bumper guard, I know what those are worth. You guys had the chance to buy the whole truck from me for what the seat is worth and you didn't. You were just a little too excited about the seat so I decided to do some investigating. I pulled the seat and stored it. I've been doing this long enough to know when to step back and think about the situation. Thank you for your $100 offer but I think I'll pass. By the way the Suburban is stolen according to NCIC Paul

for everyones information, the "stolen" suburban that he talks about is not mine and I do not have anything to do with it.I just knew where it was for sale.I just dont want my reputation tarnished since I deal with a few people on this sight.

Jaime is right, I'm sure he didn't know about the suburban's situation, the man who is renting the property didn't even know. Jaime just told me where he saw it, it would have been a nice project if it could be bought. If the owner of the proprty can get the paperwork straight I would buy it in a heartbeat. Paul
