I have checked all the casting numbers I can find on-line and can't find the numbers for my engine.
Can someone help me to determine what year and motor I have. The number on pad above starter is"
0IO2652T55X" Head # "3836848" Help Please. Pilot

The head is a Chevy 235 - try to get the casting
number from the block then look it up at the Inliners International site

I couldn't really find the proper number until I took off the starter. As soon as it fell in my hands I said, Oh, there is that darn number!

So, look there

But you engine looks 55 in any case.

0IO2652T55X

0102652 T55X

If this was on the pad (ledge) to the left of the distributor, it means:

0102652 = the serial number
T = 3100 series (1/2 ton) built at Tonawanda plant
55 = year built = 1955
X = 235 cu in engine with manual transmission
