Bought some junk yard seats last weekend (40-20-40 seats out of a 2000 ford) and did the initial fitting tonight. Looks like they will work out OK once I get them set right. I may dye them black, but want to get them all set up first. Then a few “while I’m at it’s” like speakers in the back, clean a bunch of wiring up under the dash, replace the heater core…

Did you have to take the metal pan off that the old seat sat on because I would like to do the same thing your doing to my 52.

Mine is a ’58.

I’m going to have to make some spacers to get them level, but shouldn’t have to remove anything from or modify the truck.

Fantastic tip on interior mod. I'll keep this in mind as a second option for my 59. BTW, what are the measurements on those seats...or did you just fit and pray?

The 59 does not have the pan like the 52. Any seat up grade in the 52 involves taking off the pan. Its also a little tight without taking out the gas tank. This is a major undertaking.

Any seat that you want to fit to the early trucks with the seat risor and underseat tank will require you to section the seat frame. Easy task. Just cut out the verticals from the adjusters up to the bottom of the actual seat.(cushion).
