i would like to change the bench seat out for a set of bucket seats maybe power with a console what years would work best with the least amount of fabracation right now it has a four speed on the floor its a 1963 gmc pickup thanks!!

Your 63 doesn""t have to much leg room as it is so the power probably isn't needed. I used leather bucket seats from the rear of a Ford(gasp) astro van. just had to remove the latching brackets and bolt them down with u-bolts. left lots of room for the consol to come. need advice there myself

In my 59'- I put in a 60/40 bench out of a 98' chevy silverado.Fits perfect.Very little mod to the brackets.Gazim is right - power is not going to benefit you. As it is in mine - I will have to modify my brake pedal - having to lift leg off gas pedal to apply brake.

Yes, leg room is a problem. About all you can do is find a replacement with as thin a back rest as possible and raise the seat as much as possible. The electric seats are mainly for looks unless you have two drivers--one munchkin and one giant.

omaha... what about impala buckets??? I really don't know what look you are going for...

Scat... who makes cast stroker cranks for V-8 chevies also makes alot of VW stuff... including seats... and they make some racing seats/buckets
that look very vintage...and cool.. I saw them in
a Chevelle... awesome....and in a Mustang... great
... they weren't that expensive for new seats..
and they had a partial lumbar/race type support..
3.BMW 325i.... the BMW 325i.. remember the "I"
of late 80's and early 90's had seats made by
Recaro...they looked like fancy factory leather
but were actually built for BMW by recaro...
you can get them in the boneyard fairly cheap
4. Check National Parts Depot, Year One, the Paddock catalogs on different muscle car buckets..
the seat covers for the redo are usually dirt
cheap and finding starting points in a
thrashed out oldie is usually easy...
5. Katskins has leather covers for factory
Chevy pickup seats that look awesome... check
out their website if you would consider bench
from newer Chevy/pickup.

10 I believe the 75-76 corvette has nice pattern
some of the 68-72ish had that weird
"basketweave pattern"..kinda ugly..the
excessive lumbar on 77,78,79 was a little much
I think the 76 had nice smooth leather with
no BIG lumbar.... cool seats...if it is not
them check the 75... there is a happy medium
between "basketweave" and "HUGE lumbar" - K

oops.... I had a 1964 Impala SS...it had a console for the powerglide and good low back buckets..it just said impala above.. the old
SS set up is what I was thinking about..
