The towing compnay sent a Jerr Dann. Jacked the axle up with a bottle jack and while the wrecker operator winched from the rear, I revved it in reverse. It came out OK, but I smelled my clutch. No visible damage, but on the way home, I noticed It was hard to shift into 1st at stops...grinding a bit. Depressing the clutch pedal all the way to the floor seemed to help, but I didn't used to have to press it down that far. The clutch doesn't slip and seems OK when shifting up and down. Am I looking at an adjustment, or maybe a new clutch? | | |

They were meant to be used. 1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.
