Hey all! Does anyone know if the window seals sold separately fit better than those sold together in a set,(specifically those for a 1959)? I am refering to the seal that sits at the bottom of window when the window is all the way up (often refered to as cats wiskers). Thanks once again for the help.

I'm bringing this back up to the top because I'm in the process of doing this project on my 49. The window channel had a corrugated metal track with about 6 spring clips. It went all the way around the window opening and down into the body of the door. Are these necessary with the replacement window channels? The cat whisker was missing on my truck but there are some staple holes in the interior garnish moulding and the assembly manual seems to show the cat whisker stapled to this surround moulding. How do you staple this and don't the staples scratch the glass. Would appreciate any input from someone who has done this. Thanks

Bob - I think you'll find the felts are the same in the sets as those sold seperately - the real "seal" is a rubber piece that fits in the bottom glass channel and has a flange that comes up against the metal at bottom of opening [it's the piece the glass sits in]

the problem I have is that when it is snapped in place the chrome stip at the top is below the edge of the window. I just wanted it to be level with the top edge of the door.
