Does anyone have a paint code for the interior color for a 50 pickup? The exterior is Forrester Green and I plan to go back to it, but not seen much about the color of the interior. Looks like a light metallic brown. Would the floor boards under the mats and kick panels be the same color?

Does anyone have a PPG paint code for champagne? I would like to purchase the interior paint locally and need a paint code for champagne.

PPG's Color Library was very helpful with 1954 paint codes. The following phone numbers are 6-7 years old. If you call them, would you please post here if the numbers still work or not?

Let me know if you find a modern ppg formula for Forester Green. The commonly known one (I think it's 40319 or something like that) is for at best acrylic enamel. I'd like to use DBC or DBU, but couldn't track down a formula.

I gave up on the interior code, as they are just a guess for anything above acrylic enamel. Jim Carter I think is selling lacquer, where Chevy Duty has it in acrylic enamel. I'll irritate my old school friends and say no thanks to lacquer.

I've got a PPG #40519 and a DuPont #93-62006 as the Forrester Green Codes. I got the codes from a link from here. The interior colors from Chevy Duty are lacquer, but I'm not sure I can handle it with my equipment. May have to try.

That's the one I was trying to tell you about. It's for old formulas, not DBC or DBU, so no base/clear paint job with that one. Maybe by calling the PPG number would produce a proper code.

Have you (or anyone else) seen this formula in use? It does translate to all modern PPG formulas, DCC, DBU, DBC, etc. Sounds great. Just wondering how it looks...

Steve: I haven't gotten far enough to paint the interior yet. I did some local research to find these numbers.

I had some PPG 3613 made up, but it did not match original cab color, at least in my research. I ended up purchasing interior color for my 49 from Chevy Duty. It was a perfect match in my eyes. Also CD sells it in enamel. Jim Carter's is lacquer. While the original paint was probably lacquer (someone correct me if I am wrong), I preferred to use enamel.

How bad was it? Too dark, too light; what was the problem?

When you used the enamel from C-D, did you have to mix it or use it straight from the can? What size orifice did your gun have? I've got a 2.0 and a 1.4, which would you suggest?
