Do you push the box all the way through the opening and then wrap the box around the lip of the opening (the glove box edges will not be seen) or do you push the box into the opening up to where the edge of the glove box is flush with the opeing and then attach the screws (the edge of the box will be visible)?
My after-market box does not seem large enough to wrap around the lip.

I installed a Re-Pops glovebox in my 54 ... I pushed it all the way in, past the opening, and then wrapped the lip around the opening -- the glovebox edges are not seen. It fit easy enough ... had to collapse it a bit to get it all the way through.
