| | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 210 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 210 | Just removed the headliner for our 46 burb. It has a few seams and some with screws with rosettes that hold it up. The seams are folded upward and nailed to a strip which is attached to the metal cross rail. The screws are in alternating rails and just screwed to the rail. I guess my question is, has anybody done this kind of install before? any tips? How well will my replacement match up with what I have. It will be vinyl.
I can email picts if it will help anyone.
Any info will be appreciated

Jim | | | | | Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 21 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 21 | boy what timing you have . i haven't done this yet ,but mine is an empty shell . it is on my to do list . did you take any pics of the old headliner during the removal process?i was told the original had the truck carboard liner in the cab area (cardboard type)and then fabric from that point back. i would be interested in seeing how it was assembled .good luck with yours .
