Bolters-
Need the help of your experience. I'm rebuilding my stock bench seat for the '51 AD truck, but am not very experienced in the interior category. I plan to repaint the frame that will show, but wonder if I need to prime the springs. They got a bit rusty as this unit sat out in the weather. I will clean then up with a brush, but should I shoot them? Will that paint just flake off with use?

Please advise-thanks in advance!

51PhatBoy,
I wire brushed the spring frame, (52 GMC) where I could and then sprayed the whole spring unit with black Zero Rust. The visible portions came out looking real good and should protect from any further rust for the foreseeable future. wink
