For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2003 Posts: 21 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: May 2003 Posts: 21 | I have a Chevy duty headliner and would like to change the color to more closely match my seat color. Has anyone in the group ever painted this headliner before? If so what kind of paint did you use? Vinyl dye? Plastic Paint? Thanks Jeff P.S. check my truck out, all that is left is headliner and tailgate after a full frame off. http://community.webshots.com/user/flightrn54 | | | | | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 1,820 | Very nice truck!

Cover the headliner with the same material as you have on the seat. An upholstery shop can do it, or you can do it. Buy the upholstry material and get some good (3M Super Adhesive / spray can(s)) glue and cover it. It's not that hard to do and then it will match your seat perfectly.

Thanks for the suggestions. Only took my dad and I 2 hours to install. Will post on Webshots.

Or did you atatch it around the peremiter with a bow in the middle? I wanna see it. I just got my seat done and I bought some extra matching vinyl for the headliner. john. | | | | | Joined: May 2003 Posts: 21 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: May 2003 Posts: 21 | I used the heavy duty 3m spray adhesive. Watch out for wrinkles, I got a few in mine. Will likely redo mine in a few years to work that out. The cardboard is cheap enough, also the vinyl.
Will try to get picture up today. | | | | | Joined: May 2003 Posts: 21 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: May 2003 Posts: 21 | | | | | | Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 115 Member | | Member Joined: Sep 2002 Posts: 115 | Tried the link...got an error message: An error has occurred.
