Evening All,
In spite of my truck being Fire Engine Red at the moment, the truck was some flavor of blue/green once upon a time. I've looked at the original paint colors on Jim Carter's website and the paint on the firewall seems to be in between all the colors listed! I'd like to open the floor to debate on what color this is. For context, this is a 1953 GMC 3100.

The three contenders (from what I know of), would be Ocean Green, Juniper Green, and Transport Blue. Would love to know if there's a flavor of Green/Blue I'm not aware of.

Of those three choices, I think we can rule out juniper green right off the bat.

Although your paint remnants seem to resemble a shade of blue or teal, I think the closest match is ocean green.

Seacrest green (not sea foam) was available thru 1952. In 1953, Ocean Green replaced it. Forester Green (the standard color) was used thru 1952, replaced in 1953 by Juniper Green as the standard color.

Info from HERE. You can get samples from HERE by clicking on the "C" just to the left of the small color chips. That will bring up a photo of a page of paint chips.

[on edit] Wait, we're talking GMC colors, which are different than Chevy colors. Try HERE 1953 GMC trucks were available in 7 different greens. Or click HERE and scroll down to 1953 to see the available greens.

Based on what I'm seeing, the only one of those 7 that's as light as your firewall is Neptune Green. Here's a sample from Jim Carter's website.

Just curious, what is the serial number on the tag on the cab? If you'd rather not post it, does it fall into the 1953 series of numbers shown below?

Bill it appears your suspicion was correct. Mine is “P46625” indicating it’s a ‘52 GMC.
