I need to replace the door panels on my 1952 Chevy 1/2 ton - again. The last ones I got were like a heavy duty cardboard and they have not held up well to the water coming in through my leaky windows. Does anyone know where I can buy something a little sturdier and more water resistant? He’s a daily driver so I’m not too concerned about getting ones exactly like the originals.
Thanks
Don Hatcher

Virtually all of the restoration places sell ABS, vinyl covered fiberboard, aluminum, etc. versions of the cardboard ones. They're more expensive but they won't melt in water. You might also consider the cardboard style and coating them with waterproof protection on all 6 sides yourself or wrapping them in vinyl fabric.

1/8" ABS is extremely affordable. And nobody says you have to cover it. The rear doors on my Suburban.
