For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 1,749 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 1,749 | I admit I have not been active for a while. Health issues made me stay quiet. Better now. My 53 3100 is a "bitsa" truck. Huck brakes in the rear. Bendix on the front. What I was not thinking about was the wiper arms. Until I had one come off driving home in the rain. Fortunately it was the passenger side. Where it went at 40 I shall never know. So, I ordered both right and left just to be safe. From LMC so not a cheap set. Surprise, they were too small. Not even close to fitting. There was a change in the arms for different wiper blades. So I just figured I would order for a newer year. A pair of 54 came and.....they won't fit either. They do hold the newer wiper blades so that part was OK. Would the wiper arm mechanism from a 55 fit under the dash? Is that what I have? Confused in Utah. Thanks for any help you might offer. Steve.

Why this was so hard for me to figure out is making me nuts. My truck is a collection of years and some changes. It has been a daily driver for about 15 years. Why get a new one when this one does almost everything I need. I don't use it on the highway any more. It will go 60-65 all day. But the modern drivers are crazy. We got passed the other day, by a kid on a motorcycle. At over 100 miles an hour. I rode from 1966-2025. So I do watch. And I know my truck will only go that fast if I drive it off a cliff. Any way, I hope the wiper arms fix my problem. Thanks for this place to get questions asked and answered.
