Hi all

Doing rear brakes on subject vehicle and trying to get drum off

Wheel cylinders leaking

The twist is that the rear end is out of a 70s C60

Can’t turn tires by hand so shoes adjusted too tight and adjusters frozen

This is the two wheel cylinder style any ideas?

What if it took wheel cylinder bolts out and tried to knock wheel cylinders in?

Scratch that

A stop and adjusters holding shoes out so loosening cylinders won’t help

Hate to stick a torch through adjuster hole to loosen adjusters

Have then soaking

Jack - Perhaps these YouTube videos can be of some help. They are for a '70's C60 and deal with the brakes on the rear axle, so maybe they will give you some light bulb flash ideas to tackle your problem. headscratch

Big Blue Brakes Part 1 - The Chevy C60 Wheel Cylinder Removal

Big Blue Brakes Part 3 - The Brake Job is Becoming a Battleground on the C60

There are two other videos but those mostly focus on other brake components, while these are specifically about the rear axle.

I partially watched the first one and it has a unique way of removing those wheel cylinders. wink

Let us know if these help. smile
