Calling it a "kit car" is a bit insulting. "Kit" implies that you buy something that only requires bolting together. Everything is provided and no engineering or research is required. Not the case here.

Panteras, like most Italian cars were known to rust away so Long and Newman made fiberglass replacement bodies.
The idea is you move all the good parts from a rusty car to the replacement body; drive train, glass and other hardware was reused.
I acquired a collection of Pantera parts with the body. I did not get a ZF transaxle and 351C engine, so I chose to use something easier to obtain - a V6 Buick and transaxle.
It's a big project. Rebuilding the Chevy truck was relatively easy!
